Sunday School
Children 2 1/2 years old to 12th grade are dismissed immediately
after the service to the designated rooms. Here they learn and
interact with kids their own age and teachers. This is a great way
for children to learn more about the Bible and Jesus.
Children's Music:
The children play handbells for special services. They also have a
time of singing every Sunday morning before going into their Sunday
School classes.
After School Programs - Wednesdays 6:30-7:45 p.m.

this book can impact our lives.
The senior high meets on Sunday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in
the youth room. Our mission is to communicate a personal

Missions
The Missions Team identifies the opportunities for our congregation
to support local, regional, national and international ministries
focusing on the spiritual and physical needs of people. Very simply
stated we support those who carry the Word of God, feed the hungry,
shelter the homeless, give comfort and hope to those in despair.
At
Christ's Family Church we believe the mission ministry can be the
fastest growing and wide ranging of ministries because of its
boundless opportunities. If you are interested in local needs and
ministries or in participating in an international Missions this
ministry needs your involvement. Can you help?

Local Missions
-
Food Pantry
- Once a month our congregation donates food to a local food
pantry at the Friendly House in Davenport Iowa.
-
CROP Walk - Each year several churches in the Quad Cities
participate in a fund raising event to support local and
international ministries who focus on feeding the hungry.
-
Free Kitchen
- Once every two months we serve an evening meal at the
Salvation Army Shelter in Davenport. The meal is cooked at our
Church and then a group takes it to the shelter and serve
anywhere from 50 - 100 people.
-
Blood Drive - At least twice a year the Regional Blood
Center comes to our Church to receive blood donations. If you
have an interest in helping organize or setup for this event -
let us know.
-
Rebuilding Together Quad Cities - This is a Quad Cities
one day blitz to repair and rehabilitate the owner-occupied
homes of low income, elderly, or disabled individuals. Last year
they worked on twenty-five homes. Any interest or skill in home
repair is welcomed by this ministry.
-
Habitat for Humanity - This international ministry builds
homes for low income families who will live in the house and
maintain it. They pay for their homes by helping others build
theirs.
This
is a one day event each year and all aspiring carpenters,
painters, electricians and a plumbers are welcome. If you come
they will build it!
