Adult Programs - Mission Committee Letter from Shalini Parkash John, Missionary in India To our dear friends at Christ’s Family Church, It’s a pleasure for my father to get a nice card and a letter and a menu from you all. It was so good to know that you had a mission program on India to help raise money for the dream to reopen the hospital in Swait. It was so interesting to read the letter of what you did, and your menu was so good that water came to our mouths ha! Ha! Ha! We are so happy to see your little note and signatures, my father is thrilled with joy. We are very thankful to you for your love and care for us, your prayers are always with us. Sorry I am late in replying to you as my father Rev. Prem Prakash had a cataract operation on his left eye and he is a diabetic. You will be amazed to know he only stopped his work for 4 days, otherwise God gives him power and strength to work. We are so thankful to Mrs. Hulda Sorenson and her brother and all her family by whom we came to know you. Their great love and support for us is beyond words. By their hard labor we are able to carry on our work.
At special mela bathing days we went and distributed the tracts and gospel portions to people. Huge crowds go on foot to both, even thought it was very cold and they bathed in cold water. They believe if we take a bath in the holy river our sins will be washed away and we will be safe and get real peace. Kindly pray that each and every tract may work in people’s heart so that they may know the real peace of Jesus Christ which only he can give. May they accept Jesus as their personal saviour and come to his feet where there is comfort, joy and real peace. Praise the Lord! We all are well here and we pray for you daily. We are so happy we are not alone but we have a very large family in His name. Our love and respect go to you. At the end father sends God’s blessings to you all.
