Pastor Brian joined Christ’s Family Church as Senior Pastor in March of 2002 after serving seven years at a church in Northwest Iowa. Pastor Brian received a M.DIV. Degree from Western Theological Seminary, Holland, MI. He graduated in 1979 from Hope College in Holland Michigan and spent nine years teaching. He also worked for four years in the construction field before entering the ministry. He is married to Mary and they have two boys Kyle a student at Drake University studying Pharmacy and Tyler a student at University of Kansas studying Aerospace Engineering.
Director of Youth Ministries
Cadena joined our staff in January 2013. She works with our youth -creating and implementing each year’s curriculum plans and ministry calendar, to include Sunday Learning, Youth Group, Bible Studies, retreats, extended camps and service trips. She has over 14 years of experience in youth ministry and most recently had worked, abroad, with youth living at or near military installations as dependents.
Terri joined the staff of Christ’s Family in January, 1999. She is responsible for handling all of our finances and secretarial work. Terri is married to Denny and they have three children: Amanda, Justin, and Ashley. They have three grand-kids.
John started attending Christ’s Family Church in 1993. He soon became the organist and assistant choir director, with his wife Lorelei, playing the piano. In September of 2005 he took on the duties of Choir Director/Organist. John comes to the position having worked in church music for over 30 years and having lectured at the college level in various topics of church music. John is Professor of Voice and African Music, as well as chair of the Division of Fine and Performing Arts. at Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois.
Lorelei serves as the pianist for the worship services and the choir. While she loves music as an avocation, she is by profession a social worker and serves as the Executive Director of a Quad City Social Service agency called Friendly House. She has Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work. She and her husband John have been part of the Quad Cities for 20 years, and have three grown children, all of whom are married. She has eight grandchildren.
